Average interest on long-term mortgages slid to a NEW record low for the eighth time in nine weeks and could dip more. Freddie Mac reports that 30-year fixed loans averaged 4.36 percent last week, down from 4.42 percent a week earlier; the 15-year fixed rate fell to a new low of 3.86 percent from 3.90 percent; and adjustable-rate mortgages were also below 4 percent. The Mortgage Bankers Association's Michael Fratantoni said the group expects that rates "will begin to rise as the economic situation improves along with jobs."
The steep drops in July that were reported last week - in both existing home sales and new home sales -- obviously added to worries about the speed with which the real estate market may recover. National sales of new homes hit a 40-year low, and sales of existing homes hit a 15-year low!

This is the 1st blog for Pride Homes Realty's website. We are very excited to be a source of information for the Buyers and Sellers in this ever-changing volatile Real Estate market.

The question is Listing Alerts... Should you have them? I know we are all sick of getting soo much email and not enough time to check the email that we get. But, if you are a buyer or seller that is seriously considering to buy or sell then listing alerts are a MUST for you. Why you ask? Think of it this way, when you are about to buy a car, do you just go out and drive around until you see one that you like? Of course not! Most people will research on the internet all the different types of cars, look at pictures, get the ratings on the different cars and also try to get an idea of what the market price is for the type of car they like. This is the same for buying a home or selling a home.

A listing alert is an email that will go out to you for all the areas that you are interested in possibly moving to or from. It is emailed to YOU daily with the houses that just hit the market. Why is this important? Well, think about it, it will help you learn about different areas and the houses for sale in them, it will help you learn what the market price is for the houses you are most interested in, plus it will keep you up to date on all the new listings so that you do not have to log onto Realtracs daily and weed them out yourself. It is a WIN-WIN. So, that when you are ready to go out on the HUNT with your Pride Homes Realtor you will be armed with information. Signing up is easy, you can go to our homepage and sign up there or you can email us at Pride Homes and ask to sign you up.

Good Luck out there it can be crazy!!
